Welcome to Shepherd’s Door – The Pathway to Safety Shepherd’s Door Domestic Violence Resource Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in March 2000 to assist and support victims of domestic violence and prevent the cycle of domestic violence through youth education, public awareness and collaboration with community partners. Our belief is everybody deserves to live in a safe environment free of abuse and violence. Services for domestic violence victims include domestic violence counseling, support groups, financial literacy workshops, healing art workshops, legal assistance and resource referrals. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and survivors. If you or someone you know needs services, please call 626-765-9967 or email us at sd@shepherddoor.org Education workshops for youth are held in local schools to raise awareness of healthy relationships versus unhealthy relationships and aid in violence prevention. Professional training workshops are available for domestic violence counseling, anger management facilitators, and parenting facilitators to help meet vital needs for trained personnel. Domestic violence victims can be anyone – your friend, your family member, your neighbor or you. Approximately 40 percent of California women experience physical intimate partner violence in their lifetimes. To support critical funding needs such as shelter/housing and legal assistance, please see What You Can Do. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can not help them, at least do not hurt them. – Dalai Lama Shepherd’s Door Provides a Safe Haven – Outlook Newspaper P.O. Box 40441 |
